Other contenders include electrolyte powder (WHERE has this been all my life?), plant tape (no more droopy plants!), and black marker packs (game changer for my black marker-obsessed little artists).
Anyway, last holiday season I shared the recipe for Gluten-Free Chex Mix which calls for homemade seasoned salt. All I did was look at the ingredients on a bottle of Lawry’s then snag the individual seasonings from the spice cupboard and mix them together. Minus tricalcium phosphate, a key ingredient in Lawry’s which I happened to be out of at the time. (That’s a joke.) The homemade seasoned salt turned out so well that I made a large batch of it to keep on my tray o’ seasonings and oils, conveniently located next to our stove, and have added it to pretty much everything I’ve sautéed and simmered ever since. Talk about a game changer!

How to Make Homemade Seasoned Salt
This recipe is so self-explanatory that I can’t believe I’m showing you step-by-step photos, but here we are!
Combine 5 Tablespoons salt, 1 Tablespoon paprika (regular, not smoked,) and 2 teaspoons each garlic and onion powder into a bowl.
Stir to combine. Bet you didn’t see that coming!
Transfer the seasoned salt into a bowl or shaker, I bought the one you see in the other photos at the regular grocery store, then immediately start adding a boost of flavor to everything you cook!
